Time travel is always a tricky issue. There are enough loop holes and technicalities that will disprove just about every single theory. But in Nanosaur 2, when gun wielding dinosaurs from the future are thrown into the mix, it’s safe to say that accuracy isn’t a key part of the game.

Players control the Nanosaur and must travel back in time to retrieve a number of stolen dinosaur eggs and safely return them to the future. Movement is controlled by tilting the iPhone and weapons are fired using the on-screen buttons. You must fly around each level, collecting eggs and dropping them off in wormholes, all while avoiding enemy dinosaurs and other dangerous obstacles.

The game’s 3D presentation is well done and there’s a solid amount of environment detail. The sound is decent but can get a bit repetitive after a while and suffers from a lack of iPod accessibility. Nanosaur 2 has only one single player campaign to play through and doesn’t feature any online leaderboard options.

Nanosaur 2 is a solid game but it does have some dominant issues. The egg collection gameplay is very repetitive, the combat mechanics aren’t great and the need to collect weapon ammo really lets the game down. And while the controls are very responsive and makes this a smooth play, Nanosaur 2 is far from a great game and isn’t worth the current price.
